HOW TO CARE FOR PIERCING?
The first 2 months after piercing is a very sensitive period for new piercings. Only piercing care solution (physiological serum) should be used for piercing care. Piercing care solution, which should be used regularly during this period, should be used for maintenance purposes until the wound is completely healed after 2 months. Do not use anything other than piercing care solution to clean and care for your piercing. St. John's wort oil, tea tree oil, antibacterial soap, cologne, skin antiseptic, etc. Stuff should not be used as it will irritate the new wound.
WHAT IS PIERCING CARE SOLUTION?
Piercing care solution, technically known as saline; It is a type of isotonic serum that you should use during the healing process of your piercings and does not harm the body.
HOW TO USE PIERCING CARE SOLUTION?
You can break the cap of the solution, drop it onto the ear stick and clean the area. You should make sure to thoroughly wet the ear swab with the solution. The hairs of ear sticks that are not thoroughly wet may get stuck in the piercing and remain in the area.
WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED DURING THE PIERCING RECOVERY PROCESS?
Since the area may swell during the first piercing, a jewelry with a longer bar is preferred. You should not lie on the area during this process. Since the jewelry you sleep on will be warped due to its long bar, the angle of the wound will also be distorted, making healing difficult and sometimes even impossible. You should regularly change all surfaces (sheets, pillowcases, etc.) that the piercing will come into contact with. You should not sleep with your pets. You need to protect your new piercings from all the impacts they may receive. You should not wear headphones that will put pressure on the piercing until the shortening process (replacing your long jewelry with short ones when all the swelling/sensitivity is gone).
HOW LONG AFTER YOU CAN SHOWER AFTER PIERCING?
SHOULD PIERCING BE REMOVED?
Your piercing will not stick to your flesh, so do not move, rotate, or remove and reinsert your piercing. When the currents, which are completely natural, dry in the area, the jewelry may not move. In this case, you may think that the jewelry is stuck to your flesh, but you can get rid of this situation if you gently remove the dryness from the area by wetting the area with physiological saline.
