Post Piercing Maintenance Instructions
DO NOT PANIC!
Bleeding and/or bruising around the treated area after the first puncture is normal.
During the healing process, itching is a condition in which a whitish-yellow liquid is released that will form some crust on the piercing.
Your piercing may appear to have healed from the outside. This is because the skin heals from the outside but subcutaneously heals later than on the skin. Be patient and continue to do maintenance and cleaning with the recommended care instructions throughout the entire healing process.
If you remove your piercing after a long period, or even within a few years, your hole may shrink and close in a very short time. This varies from person to person. We recommend that you do not remove your piercing for a very long time.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO
Try not to touch your piercing as much as possible outside the maintenance procedure.
We recommend that you change your pillowcases every day during the first 10 days.
Take care of your pets during the first 10 days. It would be a better process to stay away from the application area.
NEEDS TO BE AVOIDED
Do not use antibiotic creams unless recommended, as antibiotics may prevent the necessary air circulation, which may slow down the healing process. Avoid cleaning with soaps containing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or triclosan.
Avoid using products other than those recommended for you. They can extend the healing time and are not suitable for wound care.
Avoid excessive cleaning which can irritate your piercing and prolong the healing time.
After the application, hammam, pool, jacuzzi, and so on. Avoid unhygienic water and other water sources.
Avoid all beauty and personal care products around the piercing, including cosmetics, lotions, and sprays.
Cleaning your new piercing is a simple matter and if you follow the recommended instructions, you will have a quick and painless healing process.
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS - MAINTENANCE
We recommend that you take one of the sprays. preferably a nonadditive, such as sterile saline lotion (Neilmed, Starimar Sea Water).
