Frequently Asked Questions - Piercing
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the difference between Earring and Piercing?
Earrings traditionally have a butterfly back or a large ball back. They cause discomfort while sleeping due to their backrest. Likewise, due to their technical structure, they cannot be used in the drilling process. The pierced area needs extra space to heal, and this space cannot be provided with earrings.
Piano Piercing jewelery is anti-allergic as it has a smooth finish and is pure gold separated from nickel. After your anatomy is checked by our expert piercer, your piercing is performed by selecting the jewelry size appropriate to the swelling in the area to be pierced.
Since these products have a smooth finish, they help the new wound heal smoothly without irritating it.
2. What is the difference between gun and needle piercing?
Guns are products that cannot be sterilized. Since it does not have needles, the procedure is performed by breaking the area with an earring placed on the area. Gun, especially in cartilage areas; breaks cartilage tissue. As a result of major damage to the area, the healing process becomes impossible.
Needles are sterilized with ethylene oxide gas. They are personalized disposable products. Thanks to its smooth cuts, it accelerates the healing process without damaging the area.
3 . How many piercings can be done at one time?
If the area to be pierced is the ear and the procedure will be performed on the same ear, up to 5 piercings can be done. However, this number will vary depending on your pain threshold and your body's healing and regeneration rate. This number may vary for different regions.
4. How much does piercing hurt?
It is quite difficult to give a definitive answer to this question because everyone's pain threshold is different :)
However, if the piercing process is carried out by expert piercers; Since it is a very short-term procedure, the feeling of pain will not exceed 2 - 3 minutes.
5. Can people under the age of 18 get a piercing?
People under the age of 18 can only have piercings accompanied by their parents.
6. Can I get pierced with my own earrings/piercings?
At Piano Piercing Clinic Application Studios, all sterilization procedures are carried out for you during the piercing process. Since these processes cannot be applied to your own jewelry, different earrings/piercings are not used.
7. How can new piercings be cared for?
We recommend that you only care for your new piercings with Piercing Care Solution (Serum Physiological). You should not move the jewelry, protect it from impacts and not lie on it. After the procedure, our expert piercers explain all the stages to you in detail. We also recommend that you review our Piercing Care Instruction page for detailed information.
8. Are substances such as disinfectant, cologne, antibacterial soap and alcohol used in piercing care?
Such substances should never be used as they irritate the new wound.
9. Can I go to the gym or the pool after piercing?
There is no problem in doing sports for piercings other than the belly button piercing, as long as you follow regular and proper care. However, since the chemicals used in pool cleaning will damage the wound, the pool should not be entered for the first 2 months.
10. Can I sleep on my piercing?
During the first puncture, a small swelling occurs in the area due to the reaction of the pierced area. A longer jewelry is used to prevent the jewelry from being buried in this swelling. Our expert piercers check your anatomy and perform your piercing at an angle appropriate to the region. The pressure that occurs when you sleep on it causes this angle to warp and makes healing impossible. For this reason, you should not lie on the piercing until it is time to shorten the length.
11. How long after piercing can the piercing be changed?
Piano Piercing jewelery is the jewelery most adapted to your body. The healing process depends entirely on you, but; Jewelry plays a very big role in this regard. For this reason, we do not recommend changing your jewelry before the wound is completely healed and before 2 months.
12. Can I get a piercing while pregnant?
